Rooted in Real Landscaping Work

Mick’s Mowing Service started where most good landscaping businesses do: on the back of a van, with a mower, a set of hedge shears and a diary full of lawns to keep. Working gardens across Hayling Island and the surrounding Hampshire coast taught us one thing quickly — the right tool saves hours, and the wrong one costs you a day.

Over the years, customers began asking the same questions on every visit. Which loppers will actually get through that laurel? What hedge trimmer won’t wear my arms out? Is a cordless string trimmer really up to a full garden? So we opened our doors, at our storefront on New Cut and online at micksmowing.co.uk, to supply the tools we trust on the job.

What We Stock

Our range is deliberately focused. We carry the four groups of tools that do the heavy lifting in garden and grounds maintenance:

  • Hand Pruners & Snips — bypass pruners and micro-tip snips for detail work, deadheading and shaping.

  • Loppers & Tree Pruners — bypass, anvil and ratcheting loppers, plus extendable tree pruners for high branches.

  • Hedge Shears & Hedge Trimmers — forged manual shears and cordless or corded powered trimmers.

  • String Trimmers & Yard Equipment — string trimmers for edges and long grass, plus practical yard tools like our manual log splitter.

Every product sold under the Mick’s Mowing name is selected with landscaping work in mind: proper blade materials, clear cutting capacities and handles you can use all day.

How We Work

  • Practical advice. We describe every tool by what it actually does — blade length, cut capacity, weight and power — so you can choose with confidence.

  • Straightforward service. Orders are processed within 1–2 business days and delivered across the UK by Royal Mail, DPD or FedEx.

  • Fair policies. A 30-day returns window on unused items, and we cover return postage if something arrives damaged or isn’t what you ordered.
